Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is aimed at individuals at all levels who have recently learned mentoring skills with Aspire and are practicing these skills within organisational contexts.

The ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Mentoring will validate your developing skills and experience of mentoring with a recognised qualification.

 

Requirements and Duration

The qualification requires you to complete the following:

  • Understanding Good Practice in Mentoring within an Organisational Context – an assignment in Task format, 2500 – 3500 words
  • Undertaking Mentoring within an Organisational Context – portfolio of documents evidencing 6 hours mentoring practice
  • Reflecting on Mentoring Skills within an Organisational Context – Reflective Review format –  approx. 2,000 words

Duration: We ask students to set their own deadlines, with an expectation that all three assignments are completed within nine months of the start date.

  • 1-2-1 advice and practical help from our expert facilitator.
  • All materials; handouts, mentoring logs, reflective logs etc. and access to a range of mentoring resources.

  • On successful completion, an internationally recognised ILM Level 3 Award as well as 10 credits on the international qualifications framework.

How this qualification works

This course assumes you have done all the learning previously with us here at Aspire.
After Payment & Registration you will be invited to join our online digital learning Hub and begin your journey.

You will have access to all the resources and assignment briefs.

You will be invited to join a welcome call, which walks through the requirements and helps you plan for completing the qualification.

There are regular tutorials for each assignment, and there will be a link for you to join whichever session suits you best. All you have to do is add it to your diary and attend. These tutorials will help prepare you for your three assessed pieces of work and 6 hours of mentoring activity for the Award.

When you have finished each assignment, you’ll be able to upload your work directly onto the Hub.

In conclusion, this award offers a unique and efficient way to achieve a recognised mentoring qualification. By completing the required assignments and mentoring practice, you’ll validate your skills and knowledge to successfully mentor inside or outside an organisation.

The qualification cost is £530 per person. The fees are payable in one instalment upon registration. They can be paid by bank transfer, by credit/debit card or invoice.
